Kevin – Piano, Theory & Vocal Teacher

Kevin is a classical singer, pianist and composer. The recipient of many awards and scholarships for his distinction in composition, Kevin is currently completing his studies in the University of Toronto’s Bachelor of Music in Composition program. He has enjoyed numerous performances at the U of T Faculty of Music, as well as off campus as a solo singer and pianist, music director, accompanist, chamber musician and chorister, performing new and old music alike.

Kevin’s musical journey began at a young age with piano lessons and, later, voice lessons. He began composing at an early age on the piano, later moving towards choir, vocal, chamber and orchestral pieces. He has performed for numerous years in the Kamloops Festival of the Performing Arts in piano, voice and composition, and thoroughly enjoyed being cast in WTC’s production of Les Misérables in 2013. Since then, he has played for and musically directed many cabarets and musicals, including Little Shop of Horrors and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.

In addition to his passion for composing and performing, Kevin loves teaching in all areas of music, working with students from kindergarten to Grade 12 and beyond. He enjoys giving back to the music community that has shaped him and instilling a love for self-expression and craft in his students. When he is not practicing, teaching or writing music, Kevin can be found around town working with choirs, playing at events or enjoying a hike in the beautiful mountains of B.C.
